My Winter Vacation
We started our winter vacation almost a Week ago. Apart from doing my homework every day, I longed for the Lunar New Year to come.
Yesterday it came at last. To celebrate this occasion, all the Chinese through out the country would enjoy a seven-day public holiday.
Early in the morning yesterday, I was woken up by the loud explosions
of firecrackers coming from far and near.
After getting up, I went out of my resident building to set off some
Fireworks. Later our neighbors also came to join me in the New Year celebration activities.
By the time the sun rose up in the east, the air was full of the smell
of gunpowder. I suddenly realized that the air was heavily polluted,
for which I felt sorry but it was really a great fun!
When I came back to my flat, the delicious dumplings were served on
the table. While eating, my Grandpa who I always respect so much, gave
me a red envelop inside which a sum of 2,000 yuan was enclosed and offered to me as the gift money.
Then I put on my new clothes and went out of home to find my schoolmates to play together. I felt happy and gay through out my winter vacation.
