Have you ever heard of the romantic tale about Xu Xian and White Snake?Do you know where it happened?It is said that the story happened at West Lake.West Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in China.It lies in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province and attracts lots of tourists from home and abroad every year.
It was my first visit to Hangzhou.I hurried through more than ten scenic spots during my trip.The West Lake in spring is gracefully pleasant and its beauty unparalleled.Walking along the lake,I saw willows shining in the sun The water is so blue.The pavilions throw their shadows in the water.Every spring,many people go to Hangzhou to go boating on West Lake.What is most impressive is the blooming peach flowers vying with each other to show their beauty,some red peach flowers are like fire and the pink like Xia,stretching their graceful posture in the warm spring wind,just like fashionable Hangzhou women.The tea bushes and quiet bamboos are left in my memory.Walking on the moss road,people can enjoy the wonder of tall trees and rocks,where to the left they can see the Pagoda.

West Lake is located in the western area of Hangzhou City. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with an area of around 6.5 square kilometers. The circumference is around 15 kilometers.
West Lake is not only famous for its picturesque landscape, it is also associated with many scholars and national heroes. In addition, many ancient buildings in surrounding areas are among the most cherished national treasures of China, with significant artistic value.
Due to its prominent historical and cultural status among Chinese scenic resorts, West Lake was elected as a National Key Scenic Resort in 1982.Moreover, the picture of "Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon" was printed on the backs of RMB one yuan bill issued in 2004.

Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province and its political,economic and cultural center.With its famous natural beauty and cultural heritages,Hangzhou is one of China's most important tourist venues.
The City,the southern terminus of the Grand Canal,is located on the lower reaches of the Qiantang River in southeast China,a superior position in the Yangtze Delta and only 180 kilometers from Shanghai.Hangzhou has a subtropical monsoon type climate with four quite distinct seasons.However,it is neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter making it a year round destination.
The West Lake is undoubtedly the most renowned feature of Hangzhou,noted for the scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites.In this scenic area,Solitary Hill,the Mausoleum of General Yue Fei,the Six Harmonies Pagoda and the Ling Yin Temple are probably the most frequently visited attractions.The "Ten West Lake Prospects" have been specially selected to give the visitor outstanding views of the lake,mountains and monuments.
A number of national museums can be found in Hangzhou and are representative of Chinese culture.Fine examples are the National Silk Museum and Tea Museum.Along with the other museums in Hangzhou,they provide a fascinating insight into the history of Chinese traditional products.
